After a long but insightful chat about David’s background, Sam dives into some of the origin stories behind the metrics David has championed in the SaaS community; LTV to CAC, payback period, and sales productivity. Each of these is discussed in detail as David cautions when they may or may not be an appropriate metric to use.
At the end of the episode, Sam introduces a term I’ve never heard before, go-to-market-fit; which represents finding the broader repeatable sales model required to scale. I’ll most definitely be using this term;)
